So, after actual testing and comparing the textures in multiple mods, I created this guide (reuploaded because of some issues with my original post) of how to mod The Witcher 1. How it works: Simple. To mod the game you must create a folder called 'Override' in the 'Data' folder from game's directory. The Witcher 2 Mods. Then you can use different The Witcher 2 mods for all sorts of customization of the game. But, bear in mind, that these mods are not supported officially so use them at your. Installing Best Mods for the Witcher 1 Guide In this guide I will show you how to play Witcher 1 with best graphics and without any bugs. When you completed this guide you will have the maximum Witcher experience. Requirements - The Witcher 3 Goty Edition (GoG or Steam) Suggestions (Read at least Once). There is a mod out there that reduces the weight of crafting items such as Iron Ore and Leather to 0.1 pounds each. I highly recommend use of this mod to avoid having to constantly visit merchants to sell off items. I like the realism in Witcher 2's inventory system ' Geralt should not be able to walk around carrying 20 swords and 10 suits of. Alright, time for a guide on how to mod The Witcher 2: Assassins of Kings. This guide will be quite different from my “” because I haven’t been able to check a whole play through with these mods.takes place almost immediately after the events of The Witcher. The games features a less linear storyline, with three independent plot lines, leading to the multiple endings. A year later, CD Projekt RED released the Enhanced Edition of The Witcher 2, featuring over 10GB of new content, including 4 hours of gameplay and 36 minutes of cinematics including a new intro created by Platige Image and outro. But they also made a totally new arena mode and a new tutorial, and fixes to gameplay and the interface.Note: This guide is for the steam client. What I mean with that is that my examples of file locations are based on the steam version of the game. GoG uses other names for the map where it installs The Witcher 2 (It would be weird is GoG installed a game in the map called “SteamSteamAppscommonthe witcher 2” hu). If you are using a GoG version, just change the location of my examples to your folders and you should be golden.Graphics Overhaul: We start off with a mod that replaces all of the environment textures with new, high res textures.: The Witcher 2 takes place in a world with a beautiful nature. Extreme Quality Flora gives nature the beauty it deserves by increasing the grass and tree moss rendering distance. Also included are full detail bushes/shrubs over entire fields, maximum quality trees at any distance and the wind influence on the flora as far as you can see. The mod also eliminates the grass pop-in completely. This all has of course a huge impact on your FPS. So if yo: This bug was introduced with the enhanced Edition of the Witcher 2. White grass seems to be only loaded 2-4 feet in front of you. Just a mod fixing this issue.: A fix for the mod above, since that one didn’t included the grass of Vergen.: At the end of The Witcher 1, I got hit quite a few times. When I came across this mod, I like the damage that Geralt has because of the last battle in The Witcher 1. Geralt isn’t a god, so I like it that he also has some damage.Mechanics: This little mod makes the HUD much more useful. Dynamic HUD reduces the HUD Elements, but also fades in & out HUD Elements when engaged in Combat (or outside). Extremely useful!: To be honest the text used in The Wichter 2 is incredibly small. The pure white text on dark background doesn’t really help much either. This mod changed the size & color of all the UI text, from the Main Menu to NPC One-liners to the Journal.: CEO completely alters all the statistics of every equipable item in the game, to bring a more balanced difficulty curve that steadily starts going down once you’re finishing up the first act. This mod goes hand in hand with Better Combat. NOTE: Due to the changes CEO applies to Mutagens, the Tutorial section of the game can not be completed. Not many use CEO for their first play through and fewer still choose to go through the Tutorial every time they start a new game, but here’s your disclaimer: If you want to play the Tutorial of the game, do it without CEO installed.: A mod to further improve combat and magic. Since this mods works wonderful together with CEO, we couldn’t miss this one.: Simple mod that allows you to combine lesser mutagens into more powerful ones (e.g. Three Minor Mutagens of Power gives one Mutagen of Power). Combining requires also some additional ingredients.ArmourFor this next section I am going to give you a lot of screenshots. Because there are a lot of different looks for the same piece of armour, you can now personalise your next play through of The Witcher 2. There are mod that alter the same file, those will be marked by Roman numbers. You have to choose one of those mods, because both together won’t work.:(I):(I):(I):::(II):(II):(III):(III):(III):(III)::::: This one contains 2 retextured armours::(IV):(IV):::::::::::WeaponsHere it is the same as for the armour part. I’ll give you the screenshots from the author, you are free to choose either you want them or not.::Quest: After you have finished The Witcher 2: Assassins of Kings, you might want to install this mod. It’s a new quest for the Witcher, but I haven’t had the time to play it. But it seems to be good.ENBLast part are 2 ENB’s. An ENB gives a huge visual improvement, but at the cost of FPS. So only use one if your computer can handle it. Be sure to check the mod pages, to see which one you like and download that one. There is an installation guide for each one below.::Still not sure for Requiem, check then or.Installation OrderYou should have a map called “CookedPC” in your Witcher 2 folder (C:Program Files (x86)SteamSteamAppscommonthe witcher 2CookedPC). Jan 5, 2019 - However, it supports Windows 7 Pro / Enterprise only. That is why I have encouraged people to install Professional edition instead of the others. Once again, this part of the guide is not completely tested for the whole game. So, IF you run across problems, please tell it in the comments.Note: Due to compatibility issues I have removed the mod FCR. This means the shown screenshots might be different then what you have. – Download: CEO – unpacked and Mutagenology – CEO-compatible – Installation: Extract the CEO- unpacked-89-1-6g.rar file. Place the content of that in your “the witcher 2” folder, not inside the CookedPC folder. You should merge both CookedPC folders. After that do the same for “ Mutagenology – CEO-compatible” and when asked to overwrite, say “Yes”.: – Download: Better combat for EE with Darkness – Installation: Extract the archive. Place the content of the “Better combat” folder inside your “the witcher 2” folder and overwrite the files from CEO.: No need to download or install this, we did this with the compatible patch of CEO. Your “CookedPC” folder should look like this at this point in the guide:. & – Download: ComfyCouch v09b includes Dynamic HUD v12 from Comfy Couch – Installation: Extract and place it in the CookedPC folder. This file contains both mods. – Download: Better Texture Environment and High Texture Weapons – Installation: Extract both and place the content in the CookedPC folder. – Download: The Witcher 2 – Extreme Quality Flora – Installation: Unzip the downloaded file. Go to the folder: C:UsersYourNameDocumentsWitcher 2UserContent. Place the folders called “extremequalityflora” in that “UserContent” folder. – Download: CreativeModev06 – Installation: Extract the files the rar “Updated Battle Ravaged Geralt-21-1-2” from and place those in the CookedPC folder. – Download: MAin – Installation: Extract in the CookedPC folder. Overwrite when asked. – Download: Grass color fix for Vergen – Installation: Extract in the CookedPC folder. Overwrite when asked. For all the armour and weapon texture mods, it’s the same prinicple. Download the version you like and extract the content of that file in your CookedPC folder. When asked to overwrite, say “yes”. This concludes the download/installation guide for the mods. Now we have to configure the game a little bit. We are going to increase the standard rendering distance of both foliage and mesh! Makes will bring out the most of the game. First, open documentsWitcher 2Config folder. Open the “User.ini” with a notepad editor. Look for the header Rendering, and search for the following two fields:. FoliageDistanceScale=. MeshDistanceScale=. If they’re there, edit them. If they’re not there, add them. And in either case, make them look like this. FoliageDistanceScale=3. MeshDistanceScale=3. Save the file and close. The standard settings is 1. 3 is a nice improvement and offers a great balance between look/performance. But if you wish to improve your frame rate, you can use 2 instead. Or if you want to render even further, try 5. Note: if you ever open up the config menu in The Witcher 2’s launcher, make changes and save, you may need to redo this step in the User.ini file, as the launcher config has a tendency to overwrite custom data. Your CookedPC folder should look like this. Before you start, you have to activate the mods in the launcher. Start The Witcher 2 Launcher and click on Mods, select everything and click “Save and run”. – Download: Kinship of the Wolves – Installation: I strongly recommend installing this one AFTER you have finished the game, because it conflicts with EQF. Unpack the mod files to: “/Documents/Witcher2/UserContent” directory;. Open “UserContent/KotW/strings” folder and copy the file that matches the language of SUBTITLES of your Witcher 2 game;(e.g. If your game’s subtitles are in french, copy “fruser.w2strings” file. If you’re not sure what file to copy, choose “enuser.w2strings” file and make sure that your subtitles language is set to english).Mod is in english only, but this “.w2strings” files pretend to be in your chosen language. Paste the copied file to “/Program files/Witcher2/CookedPC” directory. “Kinship of the Wolves” adventure should be now available in the “Mods” section of the Witcher 2 launcher. S1aver November 21, 2015 at 19:37As far as non-graphic mods go check out the Enhanced Mod Compilation, it’s absolutely essential and you’ll never go back to playing without it. It doesn’t really change the core gameplay it just fixes all the major annoyances of the game, and is really the only mod I use. It’s very configurable but it can do stuff like:-like adding categorize tags in front of an items name so they get grouped together and your inventory isn’t such a mess.-autoloots corpses and collectible items glow without using the medallion.-changes weight of all items to 0. So you don’t have to keep running back and forth from your storage, which is infinite anyways.(note: This this should be used with autolooting, which only autocollects 0 weight stuff.)-Reduced medallion delay to every 2 sec. With the upcoming release of The Witcher 3, you might want to travel back to where it all began. The Witcher, released in 2007, was for me the introduction to RPG’s without a clear good or evil system. In the Witcher universe, it’s never clear if your choices are going to bring good or evil, because every choice you make is good and evil at the same time. But the strongest part of the Witcher is the lack of action-consequence. If you make a certain decision, perform a certain action, your consequences will happen a few hours later in the game. This means you have to live by your actions, unless you want to replay your last 4 hours. : This mod is a piece of jewel. The story for The Rise of the Witch-king draws a great deal upon the Appendices at the end of the to form a basis for the conflict between Arnor and Angmar. A group of modders have spent more than 2 years on this project. What started as simple interface mod, grew to a full overhaul, improving the original game with a complete remake of interface, new options screen, inventory, journal. They even made new retextures for many characters, new Witcher armor, new cut scenes with Dandelion and new skyboxes. Most amazing thing of all? They have just finished this project, and managed to keep the atmosphere of the game.: This mod contains better textures for almost all NPC’s, monsters, and animals in the game. It will look high-definition in comparison with the original textures. InstallationThis installation process will be quite different than usual, because we are going to merge multiple texture mods. First you have to create an “Override” folder, inside your Data folder. (Probably located in: C:Program Files (x86)SteamSteamAppscommonThe Witcher Enhanced Edition). This is the folder where you manually install the mods. In this folder you place all the mod files together, never within separate folders inside your Override folder. Else you might have conflicting textures. After you have created the empty “Override” folder, it’s time to install some mods. This guide contains some mods that use an.exe file to install. Lets start with “” by using the.exe file. When you get to the option menu of the installer, select everything and continue installing. Secondly, install ““, with all options selected. After that, run “” installer. Nature of the Beast is one of the four main quest lines in Dragon Age: Origins that must be completed before calling the Landsmeet. The Dalish elves are being. Because this mod makes a folder called “The Witcher”, while we are working with a “The Witcher Enhanced Edition”. What I suggest, is to install the mod in a temporary separate folder. Once installed, move everything from the “The WitcherDataOverride” (made by the “The Witcher Texturen” mod) to your override folder (the one you created in step 1). It’s about 2975.dds files, so it can take a while. After that, download the file from. We are now going to manually merge this mod with “Rise of the White Wolf Enhanced Edition” and “The Witcher Texturen”. This way, you’ll have best of both mods. Niko June 5, 2015 at 02:05Hey Amstroid, it’s looking pretty good so far and I’m almost finished installing. I just have a quick question, you say here: “Now we are going to install the last 3 graphic mods: “Perfect Rain Mod“, “The Witcher Perfect Blood – Full DL” and “The Witcher Perfect Blood – Fix“. Extract all the files from the first mod in your Override folder.” but lower down you say “Last, place the files from “Perfect Rain Mod” in the usual folder (Override), and overwrite the files by selecting “yes”.” Were you not talking about the rain mod then? I’ve done everything above so it seems like you want me to find the files from Rise of The White Wolf and put them in override? I don’t quite understand. Sorry for the big chunk of a post. Nes May 29, 2015 at 15:50@Niko, I had great luck copying his Override folder from the WeTransfer link Amstroid posted above. It was a fresh install, so I didn’t even have an Override folder yet. The only other thing I had to do was copy the attackeffects.2da to my Data folder (from “The Witcher Perfect Blood — Fix” he mentioned above). Works flawlessly thus far except for having to disable the Steam overlay in-game (which isn’t the fault of the mods), because otherwise my main menu isn’t responsive (unless I hold down the Shift key). Amstroid June 14, 2015 at 09:55Oke, you have the latest patch installed then. Try to install this mod first:?Run the game, watch the intro movie, do the fighting tutorial and then watch the next movie. After that you have to run up something and there you should have the 3th movie (beast breaking in). If all those things are without texture problems, you can install all the mod’s except the witcher textured mod. Once you have done that, do the same thing again and see if everything is correct. Ilovebeige June 10, 2015 at 14:17Hey Hamstroid,I followed all your instructions and have got the mods installed correctly (I think) but am having a problem with the textures. I’m running the -dontForceMinReqs with the recommended texture fix mod, but still Geralt’s clothing won’t load so I’ve got him clothing in white stripes. It’s fine for the cut scenes, and for the first bit of Kaer Morhen where you grab the sword, but thereafter it’s messed up. Any tips?I’ve tried setting my NVidia manager to always use it for witcher.exe instead of the integrated graphics, but no joy there.I’ve also tried deleting the texture fix mod. I can still edit the textures even with -dontforce, so do think there may be something in one of the texture mods that let’s me do that? Either way I’m still getting crazy numbers on the texture setting.Would really like to play this game, but it’s proving a lot of work! Thanks in advance, ilovebeige. Sarah March 20, 2016 at 01:28Weee, thank you so much for this guide! Not only is it a great guide to get multiple mods to be compatible, but it also taught me some stuff about modding ^I did have a question, though. I’ve added all of the mods (except the blood ones I’d rather avoid excessive gore). When I finally launched the game, though, the the camera and movement felt really clunky. Do you know which mod might be responsible for that? Whenever Geralt starts to run, he just slides for a good two feet before any running animation starts. Also, when I move the camera around, it kind of makes me dizzy. I can’t quite place what’s wrong, but there’s some sort of lag or distortion or something like I’m looking through a fish lens camera. I dunno.super weird. Also, cutscenes are super laggy and images get cut (like if a person is walking, half of their body is where it should be, and the other half lags behind).I’d appreciate any help! Stan April 11, 2016 at 09:46Hey, thanks for the guide, that’s a very nice collection of mods!A couple of things though:1) The “Stop the Rain” mod actually conflicts with Full Combat Rebalance, namely it stops certain FCR’s scripts from running, which results in tutorial message not appearing and night vision effect not working (might be there are other issues as well). The offending file is customscript.ncs. I’m not sure if there can be a proper solution, but I think the workaround to get both working properly is: start the game, save it, exit, rename customscript.ncs from the “Stop the Rain” mod to something like customscript.nc. After loading the game, the rain scroll should still be present, and FCR should work properly as well. For a new game start, the file will need to be renamed back to customscript.ncs, and the procedure repeated.2) The texture mod brings back health bars, which FCR actually removes. To remove them once again, two files in the Override folder need to be deleted: fxkolo.dds and fxkolo2.dds.Cheers!. Bannor May 29, 2016 at 12:55Thanks for a GREAT guide! ?I’m new to applying mods to a game (and.especially. THESE mods to THIS game), and I’m a little confused:You say to create a new folder “.SteamSteamAppscommonThe Witcher Enhanced EditionDataOverride”, and say that we will install all mods to this new folder. However, on the very first mod (ROTWW), the instructions say to “SELECT MAIN DIRECTORY OF THE WITCHER DURING INSTALLATION” – so which is it; the main game folder, or the new Override folder? A little clarity here would be a BIG help for us to not screw things up.Same kind of thing for the other mods which are also installed by an executable – which folder exactly should we specify the executable to install to, in each case (you have specified what to do for one of them, the ‘Texturen’ mod)? The archived mods are easy – they are just unpacked and can be moved around at will; even I can get this. Not so the executables.Could you please be so kind as to clarify the destination folder for each mod which has its own executable?Philip. Amstroid May 30, 2016 at 14:11To be honest, I’ll have to check it. It’s been a year since I made this guide. From what I remember (and from what’s the methode most of the times), all executables have to be directed to the main folder. All the mods that you manually install have to be placed inside the override folder.By the way: Most of the time, the executable makes the correct folder themselves. In this case, it should make an “Override” folder. It’s not always the case, but if you see an “Override” folder inside an other folder (for example SteamSteamAppscommonThe Witcher Enhanced EditionDataOverrideOverride) then you know that you have installed a mod in the wrong directory.I’m using “Override” as an example here, but generally you can apply the same logic when modding other games. If you see duplicates, it is most of the time because you have installed a mod incorrectly. Monkeytrooper June 1, 2016 at 01:38Hey Amstroid,I’ve just finished the DL for the Rise of the White Wolf mod as the first step like you said. And it created a zzrotww folder with all the relevant textures etc in the data-folder, so it is the mods main folder in which everything relevant to the mod can be found. My question now is why your Override folder with all the complete textures from the mod etc. Is missing some of the folders/files one can find in the zzrotww folder? For example in the zzrotww folder is a sub-folder called “fonts” in which are 2.2da files, changing the dialog colors and fonts respectively. In your Override folder those files are missing completely. The only.2da file in your Override folder is the “attackeffects.2da” file. So I don’t really know what to do with the files of the Rise of the White Wolf the.exe has now placed in the data-folder in form of the zzrotww folder. There are a couple of other files missing as well since there are a couple more folders in which are more than just.dss files which are also not to be found in your version. Am I to just delete all those files or just dump them into the Override folder as well? Or did you cut them out deliberately? Since you said to run the executable, I don’t understand why you don’t have those files anywhere? On another note, in a reply to another question you said that the executable makes the correct folder themselves, alas the Override folder. I guess that the folder zzrotww functions just the same as if it were the Override folder? So I won’t have to move all the files from the zzrotww folder to the Override folder I made myself beforehand (which is still empty btw since the.exe didn’t care for its existence, which I guess is to be expected)?Just so you know, I dled the “setup version” file from the mod-page of RotWW on nexusmods and selected the main folder as the installation path as the mod itself told me to, not the data folder or even the Override folder in the data folder. If you wanna see yourself what I’m talking about (since you probably won’t know the mods contents off the top of your head), just dl the.zip version on the nexusmods page and go e.g. Into the folder I stated above and you will find those 2 files.I would appreciate a clarification on what to do with all those files that don’t appear anywhere in your Override folder. Thx for an answer in advance and I hope I haven’t missed an answer to my problem to be found in the guide or comments! And nevertheless very helpful and great guide to get a good first overview or what mods to pick/consider for sb. Whos clueless on what mods are good or essential or just are compatible bc. Tested by you!. Hi, for some reason I can't get any mods to show up in the Launcher window despite following your guide to the T. I know this thread is old, but any help would be appreciatedHello all,I have the same issue! I tried EVERYTHING what I could find on forums and nothing.what am I missing?I tried installed manually - nothing. I installed all mods with nexusmodmanager and still nothing.I have Witcher 2 Enhance Edition for steam. Game works perfectly but I can`t see any mods in Launcher windows as well.I really want to play this game, but I would like to play it with mods, because after Witcher 3 it doesn`t looks nice =)Please, can someone share some solution for this issue?Thank you in advance!Archie. Is no longer available at the linked location in this guide, and search at Nexus reveals nothing. If anyone has this archived somewhere, please post, and thank you.EDIT: look here The link in mod author's thread is also reported down in 2016 and not resolved.:(Also, please note comment within posts at FRC2 download site; these 'fixes' are not reported in this guide, which seems to be abandoned.FRC2 is full of bugs and issues. It was never properly tested and refined for bug fixes. That being said FCR2 makes TW2 one of the funnest fantasy combat games I've ever played. I highly recommend FCR2 above all other TW2 combat mods with the following fixes:- FCR2 (Full Combat Rebalance) Adrenaline and Finisher Fixes:- FCR2 Missing Armor Fix and Hoodless Kayran Compatibility Patch for FCR2:- FCR2 Summer and Winter Solstice DLC Fix:- Rune Renewal (for Ysgith fix):Edited by Bandy, 02 March 2018 - 09:57 AM. I've loaded into a new game, and some things, such as the skills, seem to be working fine. But the items are still showing up as their vanilla selves.I've deactivated and reactivated the 'acts' in the Mod manager from the launcher several times.I did manage to get it to work right.once. where all the items displayed properly. So i tossed on the graphics mods, and it broke again, and nothing I do will fix it.The kicker? I can copy this installation over to my laptop (both Games and Documents directories) and it works fine on my laptop. Before we start, I want to mention that I have also posted this guide on www.gamingboulevard.com. That guide has working links to the correct mod pages and pictures displaying the different armor sets. I just copied my text from that website to steam, so I can help even more people.Alright, time for a guide on how to mod The Witcher 2: Assassins of Kings. This guide will be quite different from my 'Let's mod The Witcher Enhanced Edition' because I haven't been able to check a whole play through with these mods. The Witcher 2: Assassins of Kings takes place almost immediately after the events of The Witcher. So, IF you run across problems, please tell it in the comments.Note: Due to compatibility issues I have removed the mod FCR. This means the shown screenshots might be different then what you have. CEO - Complete Equipment Overhaul - Download: CEO - unpacked and Mutagenology - CEO-compatible - Installation: Extract the CEO- unpacked-89-1-6g.rar file. Place the content of that in your 'the witcher 2' folder, not inside the CookedPC folder. You should merge both CookedPC folders. After that do the same for 'Mutagenology - CEO-compatible' and when asked to overwrite, say 'Yes'. Better combat for EE with Darkness: - Download: Better combat for EE with Darkness - Installation: Extract the archive. Place the content of the 'Better combat' folder inside your 'the witcher 2' folder and overwrite the files from CEO. Mutagenology Update for 3 4 EE: No need to download or install this, we did this with the compatible patch of CEO. Dynamic HUD & Comfy Couch - Download: ComfyCouch v09b includes Dynamic HUD v12 from Comfy Couch - Installation: Extract and place it in the CookedPC folder. This file contains both mods. Better Texture Environment - Download: Better Texture Environment and High Texture Weapons - Installation: Extract both and place the content in the CookedPC folder. Extreme Quality Flora - Download: The Witcher 2 - Extreme Quality Flora - Installation: Unzip the downloaded file. Go to the folder: C:UsersYourNameDocumentsWitcher 2UserContent. Place the folders called 'extremequalityflora' in that 'UserContent' folder. Battle Ravaged Geralt - Glowing Eyes and Lots of Options - Download: CreativeModev06 - Installation: Extract the files the rar 'Updated Battle Ravaged Geralt-21-1-2' from and place those in the CookedPC folder. Grass Color Fix - Download: MAin - Installation: Extract in the CookedPC folder. Overwrite when asked. Grass color fix for Vergen - Download: Grass color fix for Vergen - Installation: Extract in the CookedPC folder. Overwrite when asked. For all the armour and weapon texture mods, it's the same prinicple. Download the version you like and extract the content of that file in your CookedPC folder. When asked to overwrite, say 'yes'.This concludes the download/installation guide for the mods. Now we have to configure the game a little bit.We are going to increase the standard rendering distance of both foliage and mesh! Makes will bring out the most of the game. First, open documentsWitcher 2Config folder. Open the 'User.ini' with a notepad editor. Look for the header Rendering, and search for the following two fields:FoliageDistanceScale=MeshDistanceScale=. If they're there, edit them. If they're not there, add them. And in either case, make them look like thisFoliageDistanceScale=3MeshDistanceScale=3. Save the file and close. The standard settings is 1. 3 is a nice improvement and offers a great balance between look/performance. But if you wish to improve your frame rate, you can use 2 instead. Or if you want to render even further, try 5.Note: if you ever open up the config menu in The Witcher 2's launcher, make changes and save, you may need to redo this step in the User.ini file, as the launcher config has a tendency to overwrite custom data. Before you start, you have to activate the mods in the launcher. Start The Witcher 2 Launcher and click on Mods, select everything and click 'Save and run'Kinship of the Wolves - Download: Kinship of the Wolves - Installation: I strongly recommend installing this one AFTER you have finished the game, because it conflicts with EQF. Unpack the mod files to: '/Documents/Witcher2/UserContent' directory;. Open 'UserContent/KotW/strings' folder and copy the file that matches the language of SUBTITLES of your Witcher 2 game;(e.g. If your game's subtitles are in french, copy 'fruser.w2strings' file. If you're not sure what file to copy, choose 'enuser.w2strings' file and make sure that your subtitles language is set to english).Mod is in english only, but this '.w2strings' files pretend to be in your chosen language. Paste the copied file to '/Program files/Witcher2/CookedPC' directory. 'Kinship of the Wolves' adventure should be now available in the 'Mods' section of the Witcher 2 launcher. Some players (including me) have problems with the mouse on the main screen. Because this is a quite common bug, follow these steps to prevent the bug from happening. When steam gives you your CD-Key, press the 'don't show it next time' option. This should disable the steam overlay, which might be causing the bug, but I have read some conflicting statements regarding this. On your first start up of a new installed game, watch every cinematic completely. Not doing so will trigger the bug. On the main menu, press and hold 'shift' to move the mouse.I didn't do any of those thing, and I had to reinstall the game completely because non of the option worked (due to some weird way). If you have any visual problems like these 2 (last one is when you cast the Yrden spell). Head over to www.gamingboulevard.comto see the screenshots. These graphical bugs are both caused by the Better Texture Environment. Delete the following two items to resolve the issue:. CookedPCitemsworkremainshuman01 (folder) - if this folder is active when Gerald stands against a background of water a few black annoying artifacts appear. CookedPCitemsgeraltgeraltsignsyrdentrap.w2ent (file) - if this file is active Yrden trap creates big colorful texture block. I hope that you have a wonderfull next playthrough with The Witcher 2: Assassins of Kings Enhanced Edition. I want to say that this guide still is a work in progress, I haven't been able to confirm is everything works correctly for the whole game. But please do tell me when there are some problems in the game. And feel free to leave any kind of comment or suggestion.I want to mention an extra time that I have also posted this guide on www.gamingboulevard.com. That guide has working links to the correct mod pages and pictures displaying the different armor sets. I just copied my text from that website to steam, so I can help even more people.
