With the recent news that is gearing up for a and will be at, CSL has decided to put together a series of articles discussing various features of the game. This article will look at the map of Mount and Blade 2: Bannerlord, as well as Bannerlord factions, their inspirations, unit specialties, and play styles. The story of Mount and Blade 2: Bannerlord is set hundreds of years before the events of Mount and Blade: Warband. Where in Warband, we had the Swadians, the Vaegirs, the Rhodoks, the Nords, the Sarranid Sultanate, and the Khergit Khanate, in Bannerlord we have the Vlandians, the Sturgians, the Battanians, the Aserai, the Khuzait Khanate, and The Calradic Empire, which itself is divided into three separate factions, the Northern Empire, the Southern Empire, and the Western Empire. Where we had six factions in Warband, we now have eight factions in Bannerlord. MOUNT AND BLADE 2: BANNERLORD MAPTaking a look at this screencap of Calradia posted on in August of 2018, you can see the current starting zones for each faction. The named locations you can see are towns, each which have their own villages and castles not currently visible. In Warband, Calradia had 22 towns.
While the plot points seemed to be rather superficial, the characters were fun to read.ST books, on average, tend to be a bit sub-par, in my experience. I would have liked to see a little hint about what was to come, you know, just in case another book was never made.Even with the trouble I had buying any of the explanations for any of the events, I do believe the book is enjoyable and worth reading, especially since it's the last of the series. That's all that I could fathom from how it ended.
Mount and Blade Warband Cheats 2019. The stats of the horse matter a lot in your game so be careful everywhere and one thing more is here that limp horses in inventory and in your bag that will be healthy to common horses using injury treatment skill after all men in the aspect have defensive and guys if you all want kudos and kinship. Looking at the map above, we can see there are way more than 22 towns suggesting that the map is much, much bigger. The Bannerlord map could have changed since this photo was taken, but per the above, we can see Sturgia in blue at the top, Battania in green, Vlandia in red on the West coast, Aserai in orange to the South, and Khuzait in teal to the East. In the center of the map, we have the Empire, which itself is split into three factions: The Northern Empire in light-purple, the Southern Empire in dark purple, and the Western Empire in maroon. Each major faction is also made up of a collection of clans, all with their own diplomatic power struggles, and each faction region has their own minor factions which are groups made up of “mercenaries, nomads and outlaw leagues that have their own agendas that aren’t part of the struggle for power.” You can ally these minor factions or go to war with them. Whatever you choose. MOUNT AND BLADE 2: BANNERLORD FACTIONSSTURGIAMost comparable to the Nords from Mount and Blade: Warband, Sturgia holds the North of Calradia. The Sturgians are based on medieval Slavic communities from the regions of Belarus and Ukraine with leaders inspired by the likes of Vladimir the Great. The Sturgians are hard people from harsh lands that are all too familiar with the ways of war. They specialize in disciplined infantry and close-quarter combat utilizing the shield wall. For the trading man, venturing into Sturgian lands will net you wild honey, bog iron, and fur. Sturgia fits the player who wants to slash and burn. The player who wants to raid towns with a two-handed war ax under a raven banner with ice clinging to their beard. You can read more about the Sturgians over on the TaleWorlds. ClansClans for the Sturgians include the Olgovings, Gundarovings, Vagirovings, Ormidovings, Vezhovings, Togarovings, Isyarovings, and the Ubrovings. Minor FactionsSome of the Sturgian minor faction we’ve seen inlcude the Skolderbroda, a mercenary group, and the Sons of the Forest, a slash-and-burn nomadic tribe. UnitsSome of the Sturgian units we’ve seen include the Sturgian Horseman, Footman, Veteran Footman, Horse Raider, and Bowman. May 9, 2016 - Bosses. First Warden. Cheat codes for lords of the fallen. There are many more units we haven’t seen for the Sturgians, however it seems like the “Horse Raider” unit type might be Sturgian specific, whereas the Horseman, Footman, and Bowman unit types seem available to all factions.BATTANIANot holding many similarities to any previous Warband faction, the Battanians are inspired by Celtic tribes throughout history. They are cunning, poetic, and not afraid to show a little flair: utilizing tattoos and warpaint to scare their foes. However, the Battanians also have a nomadic warrior side; preferring the safety of the woods, living off the land, and stealing from anyone who crosses their path. Mischief runs through the Battanians blood. Specializing in the longbow and night raids, Battania fits any player who wants to rain down arrows from afar or slip into towns stealing goods and cattle in the dead of night. Afterwards, the good Battanian will come back to town and drink a pint at the tavern while writing songs about their accomplishments. More about the Battanians on their. ClansBattanian clans include the fen Gruffendocs, fen Derngils, fen Uvains, fen Urails, fen Guvains, fen Eingals, and the fen Morcars. Minor FactionsThe one minor faction we’ve encountered for the Battanians are the Wolfskins; young warriors who live a nomad’s life in the woods eating raw meat and wearing well, the skins of wolves of course. UnitsFor Battania, we’ve seen many different unit types featured in videos, including the Battanian Scout, Archer, Longbowman, Yeoman Longbowman, Clansman, Footman, Infantryman, Trained Infantrymen, Heavy Infantrymen, and Horseman. In more recent videos, we’ve seen unit types such as Axemen, Falxmen, Ulfhednar, Hunters, and Fian. Not sure if these new units are updated names for older unit types such as the standard “Infantryman,” or if they are new units specific to the Battanian on top of ther other units we’ve seen. You can see the Battanians fighting against the Empire in the video below.VLANDIAPreceding the Kingdom of Swadia from Mount and Blade: Warband, the Vlandians hail from the West of Calradia. Originally a group of mercenaries made up from different peoples from far away lands, Vlandia was inspired by the feudal states of medieval Europe. They specialize in disciplined knights on heavy horse, running down their enemies with sharpened lance. Their greed for land has no bounds, which is why they occupy more of the map than any one faction. However, this expansionist mentality comes with a price: The Vlandians are plagued with internal conflict. The Vlandians fit a player who wants to charge the enemy on heavy horse, piercing skulls with a sharpened lance, or sitting atop the walls of a massive medieval castle, raining crossbow bolts into the eyes of their attackers. More on the ClansFor the Vlandians, we’ve seen the House of Meroc, House of Tihr, House of Arromanc, House of Fortes, House of Goneres, House of Cortain, House of Valant, House of Molarn, House of Jelind, and the House of Folcun. Minor FactionsMinor Factions for the Vlandians include the Company of the Golden Boar, who live a life of constant warfare living off mercenary contracts. Word is they’re pretty dang great with the crossbow. You’ll also encounter the Brotherhood of the Woods; a very Robin Hood-esque faction. A group of peasants who started robbing from the rich and giving to the poor, the Brotherhood of the Woods have since fallen into corruption; stealing and killing to survive. UnitsUnit types for the Vlandians include the Vlandian Archer, Sharpshooter, Recruit, Militiaman, Infantryman, Veteran Infantryman, Man at Arms, Veteran Man at Arms, Trainee Horseman, Light Horseman, Heavy Horseman, and the Sergeant. Even though I haven’t seen it, I’m sure the Vlandians, like the Swadians that succeed them, also have the Vlandian Knight.ASERAILaying claim to the deserts of the South are the ancestors of the Sarranids, the Aserai. Based on the Arab tribes of the seventh century, the Aserai are made up of a collection of tribes that banded together to fight the Empire and are relatively balanced when it comes to warfare. Adhering to no specific specialty, an Aseria army will have a good balance of cavalry and infantry. Although, one would be wise to take note, Aseria lands boast some of the finest horses in all of Calradia. The Aserai are an oasis people who cherish flexibility and adaptability. Whether it’s slinging javelins from light horse, or charging the enemy with heavy infantry; the desert is yours. What will you make of it? Also — the Aserai can enlist camel cavalry which get a speed and maneuverability boost in the desert. More over on the ClansThe clans for the Aserai we’ve seen include the Banu Sarrans, Banu Hulyans, Banu Quilds, Banu Quaraz, Banu Arbas, Banu Atijis, Banu Sarmals, and the Banu Habbabs. Minor FactionsMinor factions for the Aserai include the Jawwal, a nomadic tribe, and the Ghilman, a band of slave-warriors. UnitsWe’ve seen Aserai units such as the Aserai Swordsman, Footman, Infantryman, Archer, Trained Archer, Master Archer, Light Cavalry, and Cavalry. I am sure there are a host of other Aserai unit types we have yet to see, including Camel Cavalry.KHUZAIT KHANATEFar to the East lies the Khuzait Khanate. A steppe horde made up of separate tribes, including the ancestors of the Khergit tribe from Mount and Blade: Warband. These horse clans lay claim to the great plains and draw inspiration from the steppe hordes of Asia, with leaders inspired by the likes of Genghis Khan. They specialize in horse archers; skirmishing their foes from afar before running the remnants down like dogs with flocks of infantry. The Khuzaits make a good fit for a strategic player who favors mobility over the claustrophobic hack and slash free-for-all that is medieval warfare. More on the ClansClans for the Khuzait that we’ve seen include the Urkhunaits, Arkits, Tigrits, Harfits, Baltirs, Koltits, Yanserits, and of course, the Khergits from Warband. Minor FactionsThe only minor faction we’ve seen for the Khuzaits are the Karakhergits, a clan who refuse to submit to one leader, preferring the old ways of full clan autonomy. UnitsFor the Khuzait Khanate, we’ve seen Khuzait Spearmen, Veteran Spearmen, Guards, Archers, Veteran Archers, Marksman, Raiders, Lancers, Horse Archers, Veteran Horse Archers, and Heavy Horse Archers. As you can tell, the Khanate specialize in horse archers. They also seem to employ Spearmen rather than Infantrymen. In some newer footage, we’ve also seen the unit types of Steppe Footmen, Steppe Spears, Dismounted Bowmen, Tribal Horsemen, and the Khan’s Guard. No telling whether these are all new unit types, or if they’re updated names for existing unit types.THE EMPIREAt the start of the game, the Empire is engaged in a brutal civil war with three factions vying for power; the North Empire, the South Empire, and the East Empire. Based on the Byzantines from ancient history, the Empire seem to resemble the Vlandians, specializing in heavy infantry and cavalry. However, where the Vlandians’ tactic is to mow down the enemy with charge after charge of heavy horse, the Empire requires a more tactical, opportunistic approach. Unlike the Vlandian heavy horse, whose Knights carry shields and one-handed lances, the Empire heavy cavalrymen carry large two-handed lances and no shields. This leaves them open to volleys of arrows during a charge. However, if you’re tactical about your approach, and don’t leave your horse units open to ranged fire, you can decimate your foes.Another thing that sets the Empire apart is their focus on combined arms. Anything you need to make the perfect army you can find in The Empire; medium and light cavalry, spearmen, skirmishers, mercenaries, they have it all. TaleWorlds notes that one way or another, you eventually must conquer the Empire. Will you conquer it from the outside, as one of the other factions? Or, will you start from within and pacify it? More on the Empire over at the ClansNorthern Empire clans we’ve seen include the Osticos, Argoros, Neretzes, Impestores, Dolentors, Chonis, and the Phalentes. Southern Empire includes the the Pethros, Leonipardes, Mestricaros, Hongeros, Julios, Vizartos, Avionos, and the Prienicos. And the Western Empire includes the Comnos, Varros, Dionicos, Elaches, Lonalions, Sorados, Corenios, Maneolis, Onsos, and the Capulos. Minor FactionsMinor factions for the Empire include the Embers of the Flame, which we don’t know much of, and the Hidden Hand, who are a “mafia” type group that work with authorities to squash unrest, but also have their hand (no pun intended) deep in the criminal underworld. We’ve also encountered seen a mercenary group called the Legion of the Betrayed; former soldiers who pretty much hate the way the Empire is run these days. Mount And Blade War Band ModsUnitsFor the Empire, we’ve seen units such as the Imperial Bowmen, Skirmishers, Heavy Archers, Cataphracts, Heavy Horsemen, Horse Archers, Infantrymen, Light Infantrymen, Trained Infantrymen, Veteran Infantrymen, Legionaries, and Sergeant Crossbowmen. In some newer footage, we’ve seen names such as Velites, Equites, and Palatine Archers. While many of these unit types we’ve seen in other factions, the Cataphracts, Legionaries, Velites, Equites, and Palatine Archers seem to be Empire specific. If the recruiting mechanics for Bannerlord are like Warband, which I suspect they are, than you’re not bound to the unit types of whatever specific faction you chose to join. Auto toggle helmets. Followers will ride horses, make camp, avoid traps, ignore friendly fire, auto relax, auto change into standard/city/home outfit. Skyrim multiple followers mod. Make werewolves or vampires lords. Mount And Blade Warband Horse ChargeMount And Blade Warband Horse ArcherRather, by visiting any town in any faction you will be able to recruit units from that region type. So if you’re a Vlandian vassel, but you travel over to the Steppes, which are controlled by the Khuzate Khanate, you should be able to hire some horse archers into your ranks. No news on when Mount and Blade 2: Bannerlord releases, although. Stay tuned for more info and be sure to check out our next feature on.
